Nancy is a seasoned interior designer with many years of full-service design
and project management experience. She owned and operated her Medfield Interior
Design Showroom and firm for 9 years and has developed valuable working and
personal relationships with clients and the trade while building a strong and
deep understanding of both residential and contract interior furnishings,
cabinetry and finishes.
She is a member of ASID as an Industry Partner. Nancy’s passion for fine and applied arts began early; she earned a BFAA at Central Michigan University and started her career as an Art Director at a national advertising agency: Ross Roy Advertising, Inc. She went on to become an Account Executive for the same firm, learning the client service and business sides of advertising. Later, she pursued the Interior Design field at the Rhode Island School of Design and subsequently landed a Media Room at the Tara Drive Showhouse and opened the Medfield Showroom.
Nancy provides our clients with sound design recommendations, color coordination and visual concepts in the form of hand drawings, sketches and 2 and 3-dimensional scaled renderings using Google SketchUp Pro, at which she is proficient. Her presentation boards are thoroughly detailed, informative, colorful and well composed, offering Masters Touch clients a tangible “picture” of the new space for conceptual and planning purposes. Further, when Masters Touch executes a design, the individual subcontractor uses the board as reference for specifications of his or her part of the project, from carpentry to lighting, paint colors, window treatments, fabrics, etc. It is amazing how closely the finished space resembles the renderings!

She also participated in three internships in both residential and commercial design settings and spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, where her love of architecture and design flourished. During her senior year, Alex completed an extensive thesis exploring the idea of design’s effect on people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in interior design and a concentration in sustainable design. She was honored with the Endicott College Interior Design Award upon completion of her degree, a distinction awarded to one graduate at the end of the school year. She is now an Associate member of I.I.D.A and is working towards becoming NCIDQ certified.
At Masters Touch, Alex uses her proficiency in several design programs including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and 20/20 Design to provide clients with the renderings and floor plans for various types of projects including kitchen design and remodeling along with more comprehensive addition and renovation projects. She is widely versed in the practice of kitchen design and space planning. She works closely with her clients to learn how they will use their space, making the design process a very personal endeavor and ensuring client satisfaction. Alex incorporates her knowledge of sustainable products and all things “green” in to her designs as much as possible. In addition, she is helping Masters Touch strive to become a greener company. Since joining the team, she has implemented various new recycling programs covering everything from cans and bottles at the office to appliance recycling on construction projects.
When she is not in “design mode,” Alex enjoys running, watching the Food Network, buying shoes, and spending time with her family and friends.
